Payroll Officer

Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to assist with the preparation of fortnightly, monthly and annual reporting and remittance responsibilities. On offer is:

Reporting through to the Payroll Manager, you’ll ensure compliance with relevant legislation relating to the processing of wages and benefits. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring timely receipt and processing of all timesheets, payroll changes, records and related material;
- Performing accurate end-to-end payroll processing for all wage companies;
- Maintaining up-to-date information on all Awards applied across the business;
- Assisting with the preparation and reconciliation of payroll-related monthly reports;
- Providing accurate reports on payroll-related issues to Managers;
- Updating payroll system records; and
- Preparing and reporting on month-end and year-end processing functions as required.
To be successful in this role, you should have over 5 years of experience in a similar position, with strong expertise in awards and payroll processing principles. Key skills include attention to detail, problem-solving, confidentiality, resource management and decision-making. Strong business planning, critical thinking and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Suite. Qualifications in Payroll or HR Management and knowledge of accounting principles are a plus.
