Reporting through to the Store Manager, you will lead a team in the Buys & Loans department. This department negotiates, processes and manages the buying and loaning of items from customers. Your objective will be to lead your team to achieve the best results for both the store and your customer. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, motivating and inspiring your team to succeed and reach their allocated targets and goals;
- Driving a positive culture, reviewing performance and developing your team;
- Supervising and ensuring completion of daily outcomes/duties which would include preparation of stock for the retail side of the business;
- Building and maintaining customer rapport, ensuring a positive experience for your clientele and where needed, resolving any disputes or concerns from your customers; and
- Ensuring profitability and viability of the organisation along with a memorable customer experience.
Our client is open 7 days a week and this position will require some rostered weekend work.
About you:
To be successful in the role, you will have experience leading a team, preferably in a retail or sales environment. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with customers at every level. You will possess:
- A professional and astute approach to negotiations;
- Problem solving and people skills; and
- A passionate and outgoing approach to leading a team.
