What will my role include?


You will be the first point of contact for young people and their families making use of our service. This role is about creating excellent rapport, identifying the support the young person needs and collating the initial information. Reporting to the Centre Manager, your key responsibilities will include:  
  • Assisting young people to access services and providing coordination of care to meet individual needs; 
  • Developing a clear understanding of your clients through case formulation and assessment;
  • Collaborating with the team to implement access to information and a range of culturally-sensitive activities for youth; 
  • Conducting structured/ unstructured intake assessments and initial risk assessments;
  • Coordinating services with other allied health services in the region;
  • Providing therapeutic support to young people under professional supervision and delivering brief interventions within an agreed caseload;
  • Participating in community events and advocacy that build the profile and accessibility of the centre; and most importantly,
  • Making a significant impact on the mental health and wellbeing of young people in your region!
Who are we looking for?

This role is suited to someone who is ready to be at the centre of health care support for young people. You may have a mix of qualifications and experience from an allied health background and ideally have some background in providing mental health support and/or working with young people.
